Chippenham’s City Dressing scoops top award at inaugural Town Centre Solutions Challenge.
Chippenham-based City Dressing has scooped the top award in the first nationwide competition to find the most effective tools for managing the nation’s High Streets.
The Revive & Thrive Exhibition and Challenge, held on 24 September in Birmingham, also awarded City Dressing for the most innovative solution for town and city centres.
Fourteen leading providers of a wide range of tools, approaches, organisational structures, data capture, events, lighting schemes, environmental improvements and more spent the day at the regeneration specialist’s event, pitching to 30 judges.
City Dressing’s range of solutions and products for improving the appearance and disguising the feel of empty retail spaces includes virtual graphics, sound walls, history walls and other customer experiences such as “the Village Green” and “Santa’s Post Office.”
Jeremy Rucker, City Dressing’s Managing Director, said, “We are very proud as a team to be recognised for our work. The judges strongly applauded our creative approaches as well as the results we have achieved.”
“City Dressing was a worthy winner after impressing the judges in all the categories,” said Mark Barnes, managing director of Revive and Thrive. “We look forward to welcoming them back to the challenge next year.”
Formed in 2013, Revive & Thrive aims to unite residents and retailers together with Local Authorities to work together, addressing local issues and creating focused solutions for them.
